Restaurants for Change ’17: October 18th

It began four years ago, with 25 participating restaurants in nine cities across the country. This year, Restaurants for Change has mushroomed to include more than 90 restaurants in 19 cities (and one town!), all donating proceeds from dinner service on October 18th to community food programs across Canada.

Restaurants in the one-day nationwide fundraiser in this part of Ontario include Atelier (chef Marc Lepine), Clover Food & Drink (chef West de Castro), North & Navy (chef Adam Vettorel), Union Local 613 (chef Darren Flowers), and The Fieldhouse in Perth.

From CFCC: At Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC), we believe healthy food can be a transformative force in low-income communities. We are a national nonprofit that builds and supports vibrant, food-focused organizations in low-income communities that bring people together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food for all.

Amen to that! Last year’s event raised more than $250,000. This year the goal is to grow that. So do consider making a reservation. For more information, visit www.cfccanada.ca. To book a table.
