In French, it’s ‘la tire.’ More romantic and to the point than ‘maple syrup taffy pops on the snow.’
No matter, here we go. Enjoyed at Soupe Splash, part of the maple syrup festival at the Muséopark Vanier, the only urban sugar bush in North America. You might say in any city, let alone a capital city, in the world. But that would be a bit cheeky.
And soon enough, they’ll be these to harvest – spruce tips, wild rose petals. Community gardens will bloom and maybe Two Six Ate‘s Preston Street parking lot herb garden will flourish again… Patience my friends. It will come.
