Pick up your copy of Capital Dining, and go to pages 71 and 171 (eerie, eh?) and scratch them out. Two casualties since the book was published: The Eclectic Noodle in Sandy Hill has closed its doors, as has the Terra Grill in Barrhaven.

    Walked by the other day and thought they were renovating…sign on the door just said “Sorry we are closed” with no further detail…say it ain’t so! We just moved into the neighbourhood from Kingston and were so excited to discover the Eclectic Noodle in December. It was the kind of place we were going to bring visitors to impress them with Ottawa. Any idea where the chef has gone/is going, if anywhere? The convenience store owner next door said something about not renewing their lease, and he is opening a new restaurant there and expanding the space. We are very sad. :(

    Yes, indeed, it is so. And I have no intelligence on where this husband and wife team is going. But if I find out, I will let you know!

    The Terra Grill is now called The Austin City Grill.
    Cumin and Goan off Carling, west of Woodroffe, has changed ownership.
